Even though I’ve just pivoted into UX/UI design this past year, I’ve also seen a huge increase of interest in this industry from others. Since the pandemic has started, a lot of generous people have put in their time and effort to lessen gatekeeping and to pique interest for aspiring designers. When I was exploring the world of UX/UI, I wish that I had these resources available to me:

  1. https://start.uxdesign.cc/ is an online guide that walks through and helps you decide if UX/UI design is something that you’re genuinely interested. This gives you recommending readings, videos, and exercises as it a good understanding of the UX design process
  2. If you prefer watching by videos, this is a free course on how to start your UX/UI design career (a good design process, types of UX roles, relevant tools, soft skills, etc): https://learnux.io/course/career-in-ux
  3. This is a solid, comprehensive article that breaks down what product design actually is: https://www.smashingmagazine.com/2018/01/comprehensive-guide-product-design/
  4. If you enjoy reading books, this website has recommended books related to UX/UI design in every relevant category: https://uxtools.co/library/

And that’s it! If you have any resources that’s helped you realize your UX/UI passion, please feel free to comment it.
