UI/UX Browser Plug-ins

I spend a lot of time on my desktop. A good chunk of that time is spent finding inspiration and information through typography, colors, and accessibility. I’ve typed out some of my favorite plug-ins (in Google Chrome) that any designer can use to help streamline their process!

Color

Color Zilla has a convenient color picker and eyedropper tool that allows you to pinpoint exact values on any point on the browser. My favorite feature is the Webpage Color Analyzer — it breaks down the whole color palette on a web page.

Typography

Fonts Ninja is a popular one. This one lets you identify the fonts from any website with a source to download and buy them. The extension also allows bookmarking to keep track of your favorite fonts.

Accessibility

Lighthouse generates a comprehensive audit report on the accessibility of the website with a convenient grading scale. I like to use this to check the contrast, navigation, and labels or naming conventions.

And there you have it! I’m always on the lookout for new and better tools, so feel free to comment your favorite plug-ins below.
